Download Data sheetMarmorières has been the property of the Woillemont family since 1826. Surrounded by pine forests, scrubland and woods, the twenty grape varieties that make up the vineyard enjoy a mosaic of mainly clay-limestone soils on a drop of 100m for 350 hectares. Marmorières benefits from an exceptional climate thanks to a very high level of sunshine and a maritime influence which tempers the semi-arid summer heat. The vineyard allows a slow maturation of the berries thanks to the depth of its soils and its full eastern exposure.
The grapes are picked at maturity by hand and put in freezers at -17°C for two days, then pressed to extract maximum aromas and finesse. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels after settling by flotation. The wines are then stirred for two months. A very careful work with a minimum of interventions allows to reveal all the freshness and the minerality of this terroir renowned for several millennia.
